State will reduce its share in banking sector to 24%

The state-owned banks management strategy provides the state's presence lowering in the banking sector from 55% to 24% till 2022.
It was reported by the Finance Mnister Oleksandr Danyliuk during the startegy presentation on the governemnt meeting.
It foresees to reduce the market share controlled by the state to 53% in 2018, to 50% in 2019, to 43% in 2020, to 42% in 2021, to 24% in 2022.
At that, share of Oschadbank will lower from current 18% till 16% in 2022, PrivatBank's share will be 18% till 2022, Ukrexim's - 7% and Ukrgasbank's - 5% respectively.
The strategy also provides introduction of independent members in the superviaory boards of Oschadbank and Ukreximbank in 2018.
In this year, the state-owned banks wil start to reduce share of sovereign domestic debts in their assests as well as share of loans to the SOEs.
